What is an Open MRI?

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a painless and noninvasive
advanced diagnostic imaging tool that provides detailed images of
body structures and their functionality. These images show organs,

muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, blood vessels and other structures

with greater clarity than conventional diagnostic methods. The images
are produced using a magnetic field, radio frequency waves and an
advanced computer system. Radiation is not used and there are no
known side effects. Valley Imaging Partners' Open MRI has a wide-open

feeling that provides for a relaxing and comfortable exam for patients

who feel anxious about other MRI units. Ask your doctor about total

exam duration, since exam times will vary.
